Momoka Komatsu
Research Fellow, Keio Museum Commons

After working at the Kanagawa Prefectural Museum of Cultural History, she joined Keio Museum Commons. Her field of specialization is early modern Japanese painting, with particular focus on the Kaihō school, especially Kaihō Yūshō. She completed her M.A. in Aesthetics and Art History at the Graduate School of Letters, Keio University.
At KeMCo, she is responsible for exhibition planning and management, as well as the preservation and care of the Century Akao Collection.
Exhibitions she has overseen include “Elegance and Enigma:Utamaro and Sharaku’s Sensational Ukiyo-e Portraits” (June 2025) and “The Temptation of Saga-bon: Dreams and Devotion in Exquisite Printed Books” (September 2025), among others.
