Hiromichi Ando
Professor, Keio University Faculty of Letters
Hiromichi Ando graduated from the Keio University Faculty of Letters in 1987, and completed the required coursework of the doctoral program of the Graduate School of the same university after in 1992. From 1992, he worked as a curator at the Yokohama City History Museum, then at the Tokyo National Museum from 1998. In 2004, joined the Keio University Faculty of Letters as an associate professor, and has held the current position since 2012. His major is archaeology and museum studies, and he has been involved in public archaeological activities related to war-related sites of the Asia-Pacific War in recent years. He has reported the results of recent research and surveys in “Study on War-Related Sites in and around the Keio University Hiyoshi Campus” and “ Study on War-Related Sites in and around the Keio University Hiyoshi Campus II,” and is also involved in the production and management of “Archive Maps” that archive war-related information on digital maps, such as the “War in Kanoya Archive Map” and the “Third Factory District of the Koza Naval Arsenal Archive Map.”
