KeMCo Talk Session “Museum and Commons”

Keio University has many cultural assets and works of art including numerous important cultural properties.

The “Keio University Commons (KeMCo),” which is scheduled to open its doors in March 2021, is a new type of university museum that facilitates exchange between people involved with the collections by mutually linking these cultural collections.

Based at the facility that is currently under construction at the former site of the Mita Campus East Annex, KeMCo plans to roll out activities that include the online publication of Keio’s cultural assets, research, and education, and exhibitions utilizing advanced digital technologies.

In this talk session, members engaged in the preparations to open the new facility will introduce the concept of the Keio Museum Commons and its planned activities.
